Meet Harold...
Meet Harold...
Harold spent most of his life working on cars and only dreaming about the day he could fish full time. He was an auto mechanic until a back injury caused him to change venues about 20 years ago. After he recovered he went into the radiator repair business and remained in a small Yakima Washington shop until he retired.
Harold is from a small town in Central Washington but enjoys his steelhead fishing along the bank of the Columbia River on the Oregon side. He says he has better luck on this side of the river. However, today he only reeled in 5 steelhead and unfortunately they were all natives, so he had to return them to their aquatic home.
I met Harold while traveling down the Columbia River Gorge. We spent about 15 minutes chatting and he was pleased to have his picture included in my project. He only had one restriction... don't hang his picture on the post office wall!
Thanks Harold for being stranger number three.
This picture is #03 in my 100 strangers project. Find out more about the project and see pictures taken by other photographers at the 100 Strangers Flickr Group page.
