5555

Is it a sign?
stats history

I scrolled to the bottom of my blog tonight and noticed my counter was at 5555. Is this a sign? What could it mean? I was never compelled to look at it when it turned over to four 4's or four 3's. Why did I get to notice it when it turned to four 5's.

Since I was in my hotel room and I had about 17 more hours to kill before I went back to work I thought I would do some research on the number 5555 on the internet.

Here is what I came up with:

nothing!

So there you have it. I have had 5555 hits on my blog and it means absolutely nothing...

Nothing Like An Hour In The Tub!

So, what did I really do on my birthday?...

I was looking through pictures to post for today and realized I forgot to post this one. My birthday was last Friday and I spent an hour or so in the bath tub. Not relaxing and soaking, (which I have never done by the way), but repairing a spout that ran more water down the drain than into the shower head. While I was hanging out in the tub my niece Sara called me to wish me a happy birthday...

Just another day at the ex-contractor's house making the necessary repairs to keep it from falling apart. If any of you need any plumbing work done just let me know. I will be more than happy to call my plumber friend and have him come right over.

Sun Bathing...

Emma spent the afternoon on Tuesday repositioning herself on the floor to find the best spot to sun bathe. She would fall asleep and as the sun moved across the floor she would wake up and move right along with it.

Enjoy it while it lasts... the rains will be here right in time for halloween.

Get Out And Vote... and then take action!

As most of you who are regular readers of my blog know, I have pretty much refrained from sharing my opinion on politics this year. I recently came across this video and wanted to share it. It is pretty good and the message rings true, but I think it needs to go further. One person's vote isn't going to change the country, but it is a start. We need to fight for our values and beliefs as individuals and not look to government to solve our problems.

It is time for Christians to stand up for the values and beliefs that are the foundation of our faith. Whether you are a Democrat, Republican, Independent or whatever, you have a responsibility to vote for what is right.

This country was founded on values that are being compromised daily and it is time for a change. Time to take back the country and put Godly values and traditions back in the forefront of society. We have taken Christmas out of the schools and public places, removed "under God" from of our pledge of allegiance, and are beginning to replace traditional marriage with "same sex unions."

Abortion has become a form of birth control, television and movies have almost become unwatchable because of the abhorrent sex and violence, and our communities are being overtaken by drugs and violence.

When is it going to come to an end? That question is quite difficult to answer. All I know is it comes down to doing what is right... I wish voting for one man could change the world, but I believe that we are in need of more than just a vote. More than just hoping one man can solve all of our problems. It is time for Christians to be bold for their faith, stand up at school and at work and in their communities and say enough is enough. I believe we founded this nation on basic Christian principles and I hope in the next year fellow Christians get a fire lit underneath them and change the path this country is going down.

Putting the right man in the whitehouse is just the beginning. From there we need to stand up for what is right in our own communities and not fear those who oppose it.

7th International Friendship Tournament 2008

Coach Francisco, Master Frennel, Micheal and Grayson

Grayson had his TKD tournament today. He won first in Sparring and Form. His buddy Micheal won Gold and silver in his events. Great job fella's, you both are fierce competitor's!

gold number two

gold number one

Grayson's Form Video

This video is of Grayson performing his form technique. He was up against three other competitor's. The first score displayed after he is completed is of the opponent he was on the mat with, the second score displayed is his. He beat his partner and the other two competed against each other and Grayson's score was higher so he won the gold medal in this competition.

Sparring 2008 Friendship Tournament

Here are a couple brief clips of the sparring. He won his first match and then competed in a second one. The opponent in the second match got kicked too hard and forfeited the match. Grayson was up 3-0.

Both clips are from his first match. He is in Blue.

This clip starts just after he got punched in the mouth. He told me he was hurt pretty good and could hardly see because he had tears in his eyes, but he wasn't going to give up!

Grayson won the gold in this as well.

My First Grand Kitty

Since so many people have blogs filled with their grand children, I figured I would post one today of my first grand kitty.

This is Milo. He is 9 weeks old and as spunky as ever. Uncle Grayson is playing with him in Brittany's apartment. We went to Pastini's for dinner for my birthday and went over to her apartment for cake. It was a great night and we enjoyed spending time together this evening.

His nickname is "Kung Fu Kitty"

I hope it feels better soon :)

I included some pictures this week of our friends Gabe and Kari and their 3 kids. They are missionaries to Bolivia and are in the states during the pregnancy of their fourth child. Here is the link to their blog... Quite an amazing couple if you ask me... Check it out and see what is going on in that corner of the world.

Gray's Pumpkin

I found this guy sitting on my front porch when I got home today... Quite the masterpiece.

Rolling along in the fog

a little foggy tonight...

This is a picture out the front window of my train as we are traveling back to Portland. My engineer and I could see about 25 feet in front of us which made it quite challenging for us to see the crossings, signals, and other markings we need as we cruise along the tracks at 50mph.

Good thing we don't have to steer.

Our Friends From Bolivia

Lori and I spent some time eating and chatting with some friends of ours that we have known for several years. We worked together back somewhere around the year 2000 with the junior highers at our church. Since then they have moved to Bolivia and spent time there working with a Christian school and church.

It was great seeing them this afternoon and I look forward to more times together with them.

This is Kaleb.

This is Selah.

This is (Mom) and little Essie.

Last but not least... Dad.

They are here until at least July since mom is pregnant and expecting number four. WOW, lots of work that's for sure. Kaleb told me he is wanting mom to have a boy so he isn't so outnumbered by girls...

God Bless you guys and all of your faithfulness and great work in Bolivia.

Some Signs of Autumn

Here are a few shots from my trip to Seattle today. It was very beautiful running up the tracks looking at all of the autumn colors as the leaves are changing. These picturs didn't capture all of the color... but trust me, it was cool.

No Picture Today

I am having technical difficulties :)

For some strange reason this week most of my photos are not getting to my blog from my cell phone. This happened a couple of months ago as well, and is happening again for some reason.

Like most of the problems in my life... I will soon get this one figured out.

Thanks for reading my blog. You keep reading and I will keep posting.

3 Reasons To Be Positive

Today is "be positive day" here at weaphermobile. I can be as negative as anyone else, so I thought today's post should be upbeat and positive.

So here are three reasons for me to be positive today: (i was going to try for ten)

  1. I don't have to drive in rush hour traffic.
  2. I didn't lose my dog.
  3. I have a beautiful wife who is turning 39 again tomorrow. (10-10)
Isn't life wonderful...

What more can a guy ask for?

The New Face Of Real Estate

I am afraid we will be seeing this sign for a couple more years... Obama or McCain? Who will help us get through this the best?

monday's pic

Lori and I were looking closely at this photo. We discovered all kinds of images within the picture. Such as a cat face, embryo, skull, poodle, and a lot more... Can you find any that we can't see?

I was getting ready to go to work and opened my hotel drapes and looked at the tree that was lit up by spot lights. I thought it would make an interesting shot and after I took it I discovered the shadow of me as well as the reflection of the hall light from the window. Kind of an interesting picture.

Tacoma Port

This is a picture of the Port of Tacoma. Pretty amazing facility. We yarded our train here and to see the massive cranes load the cargo ships was a quite spectacular. One ship can hold at least an entire train worth of cargo... Probably closer to two. How does it all stay organized is my question...
