As I was coming through Nisqually this afternoon heading to Seattle my train had an emergency air brake application. What that means is the airline that controls the train brakes came apart somewhere and I had to walk the train to find out where. (That is what the conductor does) It was a beautiful summer afternoon and the walking was not too bad. I had the Puget sound creeping up on my left and the wind was blowing gently which helped keep me cool.
I found the problem about 2500 feet from the locomotives, fixed it, and we went on our way towards Seattle. It was a 45 minute delay.
Happy Rails!
